10-09-06 First game of the season.Rocklands versus Aylsham.
The first 15 minutes of play went to Rocklands. New signing Ricky Clarke had two chances, second of which flew over the bar after good work from new signings Tom Miles & Josh Read who were also both denied chances at goal. Joe Thomas’ effort straight at the keeper. Good play from Francis, Michael, Matthew Laws continued, and the only time Aylsham were in the Rocklands penalty area goalkeeper Matthew Burkes goalkick went nicely to the feet of Josh Read and ended in the back of the net around the 30 minute mark. 1-0. Rocklands were adjudged to have handled the ball and promptly had a penalty against them. Bring on Matthew Burke - Penalty saved. Rocklands then had a goal disallowed for offside !! A throw in from Joshua Lincoln into Aylshams penalty area saw Tom score his first goal for the club. 2-0. Tom Miles fouled in the penalty area which saw Lewis Dolan convert the resulting penalty kick. 3-0. Rocklands still carried on and Josh Read scored 5 minutes before the break to make the half time score 4-0. Second half Thomas B was introduced to the game as Aylsham came out fighting. DJ and Joshua clearing the ball away fron goal. Lewis then volleyed the ball into the roof of the net. 5-0.Josh Read then got his hat trick.6-0. Rocklands then let a good lead slip, allowing two long range consolation goals in.

17-09-06.Rocklands v Firside. first away game of season.
An entertaining game. This really was a game of end to end play.
Jack and Lewis linking up well to pass to Rikki whose shot was saved by the keeper. Joe had a throw in for Rocklands followed by a corner and another throw in from Joshua which in turn went to Josh Read,but his goal was disallowed for offside. Firside went on the attack once again,this time a clearance from Matthew Burke fell kindly to an opposing midfielder who promptly kicked the ball into the back of the net.0-1.Straight back up the other end Joshua’s overhead kick went just wide. DJ and Francis clearing the ball well. A free kick from Rikki to Jack with Josh R running on too and scored on 25 minutes 1-1. Soon after Firside scored again 1-2. Matthew Burke out of goal early to clear the ball quickly as the FLYBE plane came over. Firside then received a yellow card. Matthew Laws shot saved by the keeper,with more end to end play as half time came.
Half Time Score 1-2. End to end play continued with firsides second yellow card, this time for pushing. Firsides free kick going wide.Tom had two shots in two minutes , both saved, Matthew Laws shot over the bar. A dubious free kick resulted in Firsides third goal.1-3. Joe scored after continuous pressure from Rocklands. This was what they needed as they pressed on and promptly scored the equaliser with Ricky Clarke scrambling the ball into the goal.
